MY CONTRIBUTIONS:
Proceeding into this project, my very first contribution is to come up with the concept of a chess game which comprises of 4 players with its consecutive rules and regulations, which were then further improved for the betterment of the game; during discussion sessions with my teammates. Other than that, I, along with my teammates have each prepared 15 (level-based) questions with its sequential answers that is implemented into the game. I am also responsible for the making the final prototype of the board game. I am also the narrator of our video presentation of our games. Hope you enjoy watching it.
REFLECTION OF PROJECT:
In my own conceit, our group has definitely portrait an effective learning tool through the creation of this board game since it offers a thought-provoking understanding of selected topics, and I feel that throughout the process making of this game, that I myself have learnt a lot in expertizing these topics as well as in researching outside the field of study. This project comprises of tasks which includes the usage of Prezi, developing an e-portfolio, and editing of video; all of which were challenging to me at first. But, with time, I believe that these challenges have molded and constructed me in such a way that is beneficial for my future self.
Overall-
Questions-
KRD - The questions are very particular and tricky. I predict that this is what makes the game even more attention-grabbing and brings out the competition between players.
CPDIC - The questions are very technical and the level of difficulty are well distributed based on the predicted analytical reasoning of the players on the questions.
PSLP - The questions are mostly practical skill based and the relating factors between safety and hazard terms in a particular field of activity. It also involves the procedure of law as well as technological studies.
REFLECTION OF SUBJECTS:
KRD – I find this course stimulating and from my current point of view, this course requires a good understanding of formulas and its relationship with the condition whereby it is used. I love this subject because we are required to usually derive new formulas out of formulas we learnt and I find that exceptionally fun to do.
CPDIC – This subject necessitates the application of several previous courses and mathematical skills which is challenging. Nonetheless, I enjoy learning this subject because it gives me an in-depth view of the engineering field/plant since Dr Abbas Azarpour usually provides examples of application in chemical plants.
PSLP – Personally, I feel that this is a very important course to learn among the rest; next to HSE. So far, I am able to cope well in this subject.
SUGGECTIONS TO SUBJECTS:
KRD - More confirmation/scientific arguments should be guided and acknowledged by the students along with elements of analysis and disapproval of a problem that needs solving.
CPDIC - Students should be giving more attention to the inter relationship between theories, application and the mathematical reasoning behind it; instead of just learning for the sake of learning.
PSLP - Academically this course is impeccable for all of us. I believe that the only spot that needs improvement are the students’ engagement/priority towards the subject since we’re rooted with the thought of this course as the ‘easy’ course.
