MY CONTRIBUTIONS:

My main contribution to the team is the overall design of the board game. I designed and printed the board as well as the luck/chance and questions cards. I am in charge of shooting and producing the YouTube video for the group. In the initial stages, I helped brought the board game from a concept to a prototype and further improve it during discussion sessions with my teammates. Improving the game includes fixing the rules and regulations as well as balancing the overall gameplay. Besides that, I have prepared 15 different level-based questions of the 3 subjects with its respective answers that will be implemented into the game.

REFLECTION OF PROJECT:

Overall -

This project forces me out of my comfort zone to work with people of different race, religion and personalities, similar to what we will face when going out in the industry. This project gave me the opportunity for me to hone my skills as a team player contributing to the team in the best way I can. I explored my strength as well as weaknesses through this project. What I really liked about this project is how it is a combination of 3 core subjects of Chemical Engineering. This makes it unique and interesting as I can learn how to relate between the subjects I have studied. I also saw the importance and significance of these subjects to the industry while going through this project.

Game -

I feel that our board game is designed to be a rather fast paced board game to not bore people after playing this game for an extended period of time. I personally like chess and monopoly, so we adapted both of this into our game. I like how our board game is a 4 player game where it can turn into a war game forming alliance in the game.

Questions-

KRD - Thinking up of questions for this subject is quite hard as most questions involve calculations that require an amount of time that will drag the game, so we will opt for questions that involves understanding.

CPDIC- Creating questions for this subject is not that hard, especially with mathematics questions. But connecting this subject is the challenge for this subject.

PSLP- Coming up with questions for this subject is not difficult as various safety measures can be applied in both subjects above.

REFLECTION OF SUBJECTS:

KRD - I love KRD because I can see how various subjects from previous semester are being applied here. I really like how Dr Tazli introduced this project into our course, connecting all 3 subjects with it. It definitely will be challenging but it is worth the time and effort put into this project.

CPDIC - By taking this CPDIC course, I learnt about mathematical modelling of chemical processes as well as feedback control and I find it very interesting. I am excited that I will be leaning about laplace domain dynamics and control, frequency domain dynamics & control and process instrumentation later on in this semester. I am keen to see that the computational methods that I have learned during my second year. It is interesting to see how subjects connect to each other.

PSLP - I like it how it is somewhat similar to the HSE subject I have learnt during the previous semester, except that it involves some calculations. I like Dr. Dzulkarnian unique style of interactive teaching.

SUGGECTIONS TO SUBJECTS:

KRD - I find the tutorial of this subject not helpful at all. The tutors should be guiding the students through the questions instead of just coming to tutorials and just giving solutions without explaining.

CPDIC - I think a brief recap of computational methods before we dive in to the chapters will be quite useful for many of the students as we tend to forget some things we have studied in the past.

PSLP - This subject is easily overlooked by many students as it is deemed an easy subject. But for the industry this subject is one of the most important one in many aspects. I will suggest a fieldtrip to plants to check out the importance of this subject to the industry
